One Of Biggest Skincare Launches EVER? : The Ordinary.

I'll admit, I had never heard of The Ordinary until I went for a facial with the lovely Kate Kerr a couple of weeks ago and then my skincare life changed forever! The Ordinary is a Deciem brand that since being featured in the Victoria Health newsletter, was pretty much a sell out.

The Ordinary is brand that believes in integrity and using concentrated ingredients with simple formulas that actually work. No gimmicky packaging in sight. And the best part? It's ridiculously affordable. The most expensive product in the collection is £12.70 and the cheapest is £4.90 which is crazy. I opted for the three items that were recommended to me by Kate and I also have some more on the way that my mum surprised me with (she's a good 'un).

The names of the products aren't very catchy and very scientific but I feel that if you read up enough on the site, then it'll definitely help you make the right decisions, so don't be put off if you don't know much about skincare. They have also devised this little table to show you when the products are best used which is really, really helpful. You can find that HERE.

The packaging on all of the products is slick, minimalist and fresh looking especially as they don't focus on the packaging, I think this actually looks a lot more high end than it's price tag. Each applicator also has glass pipette so you get the right dose and don't waste the products at all.

Here is a quick run down of the 3 products so far in my collection:

Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% - An alpha hydroxy acid that gives a mild exfoliant containing pepper berry that reduces the signs of inflammation that are associated with exfoliating. It's a superficial peeling formulation created by Deciem. I did start with this by diluting it 3 drops to 1 of retinoid to build up my tolerance- but I had no trouble so I do use this on it's own now. // £5.80

Advanced Retinoid 2% - Contains next generation forms of Retinoid for anti-ageing and acne prone skin. (I use it for anti-ageing). It has better effects than Retinol and nearly all other non-prescription retinoids on the market. // £8.00

Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - As an avid lover of Hydraluron (£24.99) I have switched to this as a much more effective and affordable option. Hyaluronic Acid can hold 1000x its weight in water and the B5 gives enhanced surface hydration. I still can't believe that this is only £5.80. It literally blows my mind. // £5.80

In the 2-3 weeks that I have been using these wonderful items, I have noticed SUCH a difference I can't tell you. I've always been happy with my skin (thanks to my Jamaican genes) but my skin is literally glowing and has never looked better. I can really rave about The Ordinary much more than I already have.

It's a truly fabulous collection and makes skincare affordable to the masses.

You can find out more about The Ordinary HERE.

The Regime table can be found HERE and theres more info about Vitamin C on the website too HERE

Go have a look. You won't regret it and your skin will certainly be thankful!
