First Impressions: Estee Edit Metallishadow + Flash Illuminator

For my birthday back in April- my lovely friend Wayne gave me $50 Sephora voucher so that when he went to San Francisco, he would pick up the things I wanted. The Estèe Edit had just launched and there were a couple of things that caught my eye that would make perfect additions to my already bulging makeup drawers.

Being the magpie that I am, giving the Metallishadow a go was a no brainer. These consist of a highly pigmented cream shadow, with the lower layer of the pot being a loose highly metallic pigment. It a thing of beauty I can tell you. They're available in 5 shades of which I opted for Scarlet Eclipse, an oxblood red with rose gold pigment.

These are really versatile and can be worn on their own and blended out for a sheer subtle finish, packed on for a full on smokey eye, worn both together for an gobstopping metallic finish or the pigment can be worn on its own. Endless possibilities. The best way is to apply the pigment with a wet brush for an almost wet look metallic finish. The packaging is also cute and compact. The splash of cobalt blue really does modernise the Estèe look and looks clean and fresh.

Next up is the Flash Illuminator. This is incredible. It's a gorgeous highly pigmented highlighter cream which is available in 5 different shades. I opted for Morning Light which is much more rich and golden and compliments me skin tone well. This can be used in a number of ways, either on a sponge or brush and applied like a highlighter, for strobing or the way I use it- mixing it with my foundation or using as a primer layer before foundation.

A little goes a very long way with this so it will last a really long time and with the pump tip, it's quite easy to control the amount you dispense.

It contains hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin, its a non sticky formula and contains micro-fine pearls so an incredible looking finish. You could even use it as a body shimmer.

The whole The Estèe Edit range is now available at Sephora and Selfridges

All in all, I think the Estèe Edit collection is much more my cup of tea than their normal range and the prices don't seem to be that extortionate either, but the quality of both product and packaging is excellent. Even though I'm not really of the Kardashian/Jenner era, Kendall Jenner is the perfect face for the range and everything it is trying to achieve.

P.S On a side note- These Cocobalm Coconut Infused Lip Gloss's have just been released and are available in 5 shades. How awesome is this packaging? I definitely need one in my life I just hope the coconut isn't too overpowering! They're £15.00 each.
