Flamingo Candles: The Melt Crowd Subscription Box

As I missed out on the first The Melt Crowd subscription by Flamingo Candles, I just had to get my mitts on the July box.

For £10 inc p&p you get 8 of the Flamingo Candle Scent Melts which smell incredible. They say on the site that melts might be repeated after a few months so just a heads up on that but there are 38 different melts available so theres a pretty good chance that eventually you'll have them all.
I love the concept and it's nice to have a change from a beauty box subscription service (I love them but there are SO many) and with My Little Box changing things up, this is the perfect time for a candle type box to make its way to the masses.

I have had a couple of candles from Flamingo before and the burn time on them is insane- and they burn evenly too- you can read more about them here and here.
In the first month, they give you a free wax/melt burner which is pretty generous of them to help you on your way. You just plop your melt in the top dish and then light a tea light underneath and bobs your uncle- long lasting gorgeous scents fill your room.

These were the first melts that I received in my box this month....

Lemon Curd: "Sweet and zesty, Lemon Curd is a mouthwatering lemon fragrance with top notes of fizzy lemon, sweetened by vanilla pods and sugar."

Raspberry and Salted Caramel: "Sweet and creamy, Raspberry & Salted Caramel is a delicious treat for the senses. Fruity notes of raspberry blend with anise, buttercream and vanilla-based caramel." - This is just a bit too sickly for my tastes but I think people that love super sweet scents will go mad for this

Cucumber and Melon: "Fresh and invigorating, Cucumber and Melon is a green floral fragrance with cucumber skin and watery notes of refreshing melon on the top. Supported by a rich floral accord of rose, lily and cyclamen enhanced by fruity, peach musk accents." Taking into consideration that I don't like either melon nor cucumber, this is such a fresh scent and the musk cuts through other notes which probably makes this more pleasant.

Pink Lemonade: "Sweet and sugary Pink Lemonade is a rich combination of ripe Strawberries & Lemon juice infused with a Champagne fizz. Bursting with hints of pink grapefruit and a suggestion of smooth fruitiness." This definitely smells like a lush bath bomb but I can't for the life of me think which one. A really girlie scent.

Island Breeze: This is exclusive to the box and not available to buy on the website. I think this is quite a manly scent- in the sense that there is some kind of aftershave that smells like this. I'm not complaining at all, its fresh and crisp.

Mojito Cocktail: "Fresh and zesty, Mojito opens with citrus top notes of lime, lemon and grapefruit, leading to a peppermint heart, resting on a musky background" This is the first melt from the box that I used- it's still going strong!

Green Tomato Leaf: This is also exclusive to the box and I find this such an odd scent to feature in any collection. it does however smell EXACTLY like tomato leaves!

Oriental Lotus and Rose Otto: "Rich and sensual, Oriental Lotus & Rose Otto is a floral fragrance with powdery soft top notes of rose otto and warming nuances of sweet magnolia with elements of soft lily and carnation also present. Supported by a pillow soft base of rich, soothing sandalwood, orchid, musk and amber." Think fresh, crisp bed sheets- and this what this smells of. Probably my favourite of the whole box I would say.

The melts have an average burning time of 30 hours- yep. 30 long hours, which is amazing considering each melt only costs £2 full price.

This would make a great present for a friend or a treat to yourself and with it only being £10 its really affordable and you more than get your moneys worth, they're also hand poured in the UK and all made of 100% Natural Soy Wax. What's not to love?

I dare say that if there aren't any scents you're fond of- you'd be able to swap with someone on twitter/instagram/facebook - Tazos for the modern age haha!
