Believe The Hype: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Hey everyone,

Now if you are into beauty or not, you will not be able to escape the fact that Benefit will be releasing a new mascara. Everyone loved the They're Real- or pretty much everyone did and now they are releasing the Roller Lash mascara. I think it is a beauty first in that they have released mascara samples in the current issue of Elle magazine, before general release which is 12th February. As usual with Benefit, the hype over new releases is ridiculous whether the release be good or bad (good- They're Real, bad- They're Real liner and remover).

I had high hopes for this mascara as I love the They're Real. The Roller Lash is designed with a 'Hook n' Roll' brush to grab, separate, lift and curl the lashes. I would say this definitely holds the curl in the lash and no crumbly fallout. I'm not necessarily sure that I can agree with the 12hr hold as I don't tend to wear my makeup for that long.  This is more of an every day mascara- well for me I would say it is. This applies smoothly and doesn't clump the lashes, and creates beautiful length and separation of the lashes. The design of the wand means that you can catch every single lash without poking yourself in the eye. Even though this formula is water resistant, not waterproof- for every day you don't really need waterproof and if you tend to have oily eyelids, then this is perfect as you won't get transfer and panda eyes.

On the Benefit site, they advise that you can apply this first and then the They're Real- I'm not sure if I would try it as I'm sure it would be a bloody nightmare to get off!

Anyway, judge for yourselves, here at the before and afters!

What are your thoughts? I may buy the full sized, but then again there are so many mascaras a girl can use. So maybe I'll use my current stash and then buy this one.

Have you already tried the sample too? What are your thoughts?

A x

This will be on sale in March for £19.50 but you can pre-oder it now on QVC for £15.82 + p&p
