Glossybox - Harvey Nichols Edition

Hey everyone,
Soon this post has been a long time coming. I don't know where the time is going and had every intention of getting this up as soon as I got it but my Dental Nursing record of experience was nearing the deadline and that has to be my priority. But HOORAY! I have finished it now.
My sister managed to snag me a box when they came out (on her birthday- she stayed home to get it for me. Best sis ever!

Glossybox and I have a love/hate relationship but I did think that this box seemed to good to miss out on. With a total contents value of £150 for £35.00 let's take a peek.

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream - An anti-agin cream which increases elasticity, suppleness and hydration. This is a perfect moisturiser for this time of year when your skin needs an extra bit of oomph and hydration. Full size is £135 for 100ml- This sample size 15ml

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - This primer has well and truly done the rounds in the various beauty boxes of the recent months. I ain't complaining as I love it- it creates the perfect base for foundation and hydrates your skin without making it look greasy. It also makes my makeup stay put all day long. Getting this many samples also means I haven't yet had the need to buy the full size! Full size is £29 for 50ml- This sample size is 30ml

Benefit They're Real Mascara- Again, this beaut has also been doing the rounds recently. I have gone through 3 of the full sized ones, along with various samples and this is one of the best mascaras I have used (Better Than Sex tops my list). I find the best way to remove it is with a cleansing oil- soak cotton pads then place on the eyes for a few seconds and then swipe on. Job done and no need to fork out for the special remover! Full size is £19.50 for 8.5g- This sample size is 3g

Macadamia Natural Oil- I used the cream conditioner of the same brand and it makes my locks feel luscious. This is a fab little size for those on the go or like to switch up their products a lot. It can also be used on dry and damp hair or added to masque or treatment for an extra moisture boost to those dry ends being ravaged by the winter weather. Full size is £21.95 for 125ml- This sample size is 10ml

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser- This moisturiser is designed to renew the skin to reveal younger looking skin. Full size is £150 for 50ml- This sample size is 5ml

OPI Avoplex Moisture Replenishing Lotion-  Blending shea, cocoa, avocado and almond butters this super nourishing hand cream restores your chapped hands back to supple loveliness. Full size is £17 for 240ml- This sample size is 120ml

SHOW Beauty Sheer Thermal Protect- I had never heard of this brand before and the bottle looks really luxurious considering that it is a heat protection spray at the end of the day. I haven't used this spray yet but I find the scent really off-putting it is just too sickly sweet- so maybe it won't get used. Full size is £35 for 150ml which seems ridiculously expensive for a spray! This is a full size product.

Harvey Nichols Mini Scented Candle in 'Sleep'- This is a very calming scent so the title hits the spot. This is one a set of four which include dining, party and bathing. I haven't burnt the candle yet but it's a cute little size and nice introduction to the set. Full size is £30 for set of 4

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien- I love NARS - even though their customer service is beyond shockingly horrendous (taking 4 months to sort out a problem!)- anyway I have tried many a NARS product, but never the lip pencils so this seemed like perfect opportunity. I have Rikugien which is a deep rose pink- one of the nicest nudes I have ever tried. It feels really comfortable on the lips and moisturising too with thanks to the vitamin e enriched formula. Full size is £18 for 2.2g- This sample size is 1.7g

Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum- I tried this serum a few years and really enjoyed using it so it is nice to be reintroduced again. The peptide serum stimulates collagen production and supercharges your skin to increase luminosity and minimise fine lines. Full size is £57.50 for 15ml- This sample size is 5ml

La Coupe Coconut & Macadamia Oil Hair Masque- Colour safe, sulphate and paraben free this mask is kind to your hair and leaves it soft and hydrated after 5 minutes. I haven't had a sniff yet so I hope it isn't too coconutty as I can't stand the scent. Saying that, I would still use it anyway. With every purchase of the orgnx product- a moringa tree is planted - so spending money and it's good for the environment- can't complain! Full size is £3.50 for 40ml. This is a full sized product.

All in all I enjoyed this box but I still think British Beauty Blogger won the Collaboration battle of the beauty boxes as they were released on the same day. I definitely think that this box was aimed at a mature age range and there's nothing wrong with that as Harvey Nicks comes across as being aimed at that kind of market anyway. I feel that BBB's appeals to a wider age range and that you got your moneys worth.

I don't think I would spend £35 on a box like this again but it is handy to have the Nars pencil and LM primer and They're Real mascara back ups.

Did you get the box? What were your thoughts?
