Makeup Revolution £20 or Under Makeup Challenge

Hey everyone,

Since I received my Makeup Revolution palette in my LIB box, I have been wanted to give some more of the products a go. I decided to set myself a challenge to buy as many Makeup Revolution products as I could and create an entire look- all for £20 or less.

These were the products that I bought:

- The One Foundation in Shade 6 - £4.00
- I <3 Makeup, I <3 My Lips lipstick in Beating Heart - £2.49
- I <3 Makeup Selfie Palette w/ free primer - £4.99
- Focus and Fix Liquid Concealer in 03 Light - £2.00
- Powder Blush in Treat - £1.00
- Nail Polish in You Got The Look- £1.00
-Amazing Lengths Mascara - Black - £1.50

My total came to: £16.98

I love the colour payoff on the eyeshadows they are amazing quality and value for money. I used the eyeshadow on the lids, as well as on my brows. The foundation and concealer were stand out items for me though. The foundation very similar to MAC face and body foundation both in wear and fluidity. The concealer was long lasting too, with no creases under the eyes at the end of the day.

I would definitely recommend Makeup Revolution products and they are now widely available in Superdrug- an inexpensive way to try to new trends and looks without breaking the bank.

The Final Look

See you soon,

A x

New On The Scene: Anastasia Beverly Hills Maya Mia Palette

Hey everyone,

Just a heads up that Anastasia Beverly Hills have just released a new palette in collaboration with makeup artist Maya Mia (aka Maya Janeska).

This is a perfect eyeshadow palette going into Autumn and I think this will look amazing on anyone, especially those with blue eyes. A lovely little palette that costs £24.00. I doubt it will disappoint seeing as ABH has hit the nail on the head with every other product
they have released and this will be no exception.
My favourite colours in the palette are Aqua and Fresh Peach. This also includes double ended makeup brush.affordable

My ALS/MND Ice Bucket Challenge

I was challenged by my cousin Rob to partake in the ALS/MND Ice Bucket Challenge.

I am so pleased that this challenge has raised awareness about MND (Motor Neurone Disease) all over the World. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.
MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.

My nan suffered from this, and although she is no longer with us- when she was here, there was no cure or she was just made to feel comfortable. There just isn't the funding, because it is a rare condition. Don't get me wrong, cancer needs to be cured too, but because there are SO many charities that help different fields of cancer. I feel that smaller charities and conditions get swamped and overlooked. Just because there aren't a great number of people suffering from it, surely it doesn't mean those people don't have a right to be helped and should go un noticed.

I really riled me up when reading online today that Macmillan had nudged in on the Ice Bucket Challenge. I myself text the number to donate to MND, only to find myself receiving a text from Macmillan to thank me for my donation. I wonder just how many people got screwed over doing this??

Last year alone, Macmillan raised £187 million- MND raised £13.3 million. I would genuinely hope a 'charity' wouldn't be so greedy as they already have the lion's share for crying out loud-and give someone else a chance. And that is just ONE cancer charity.

I am not usually a ranty typed person- but this really has rubbed me up the wrong way.

Anyway,

Please donate and take part, hopefully one day there will be a cure or solution

Text 'ICE55' followed by the amount you want to donate to 70070

You can find out more about MND here: http://www.mndassociation.org

New On The Scene: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Nars Nails Collection

Hey everyone,

New on the scene is the new nail collection from 3.1 Phillip Lim. The collection features 9 limited edition shades, which are inspired by the colours that exist in shadows.

Call me bit of a div, but that is totally beyond me.The stand out shade for me is the blue red shade 'Hell Bent'. If I am totally honest, it is the only shade of the whole collection that I would wear.

They are now available from Nars for £15.00 per polish.

Also, if you spend £25 on Phillip Lim purchases and enter code 'PHILLIPLIM' you will receive a free  mini version of the 'Deep Throat' blush.

Which of the shade rock your boat?
