My Top Five Summer Reads

Hey Everyone,
Now I am in no doubt that most of you will be jetting off this summer to somewhere hot or if not having a stay cation, so I thought I would share with you my top 5 summer reads. I can't really put them in order as I love them all equally and if you get the chance to read any, then I hope you do to!

Wallbanger- Alice Clayton
First up we have Wallbanger by the fantastic Alice Clayton- a hilarious read about a woman who ends up living next to an oversexed neighbour. All she hears at night is the banging of the headboard on the wall! I will say no more but it is utterly hilarious, a quick and easy read. She has 2 more books in the series coming out which I cannot WAIT for! I read this in a few hours, I just couldn't put it down. Find out more here

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and other concerns) - Mindy Kaling
I never watched Mindy in The Office (the US version) but when she created The Mindy Project- I just had to read this and she is a truly wonderful and hilarious human being. This a comic memoir including stories from growing up, her time at The Office, weight struggles, friendship and much more. She is fantastic and so is this book. You can even read an excerpt here.

Diaries of an Internet Lover - Dawn Porter
A truly hilarious tale of when Dawn Porter (now O'Porter) went on a year long quest to date as many men as she could, but whom she had only met on the internet. This description says all you need to know: "Dawn Porter needed to take action to meet some new, exciting and hopefully sexy people. A quick advert on a dating site was the start of an erotic journey which saw her dine with adult babies, get swept off to New York, fall madly in love with a Wall Street hunk, discover her appreciation for rubber uniforms, involve herself in a superbly sexual liaison with a couple, receive oral sex on a train platform and spend the evening with an Irish Leprechaun with a fixation for anal love eggs . . .
In her explicit and candid Internet diaries, Porter takes us on a highlycharged sexual adventure through the minefield of dating in the big city.
Witty, perceptive and very rude, Diaries of an Internet Lover is the best one night stand you'll ever have."
I thought I had had some seriously terrible dates but Dawn wins hands down!

The Naughty Girls' Book Club - Sophie Hart
As you can see, there is a theme developing! The debut novel from Sophie Hart sees a saucy book club created to help a struggling coffee shop in a quiet suburban town. It is saucy in places, but quite heart warming too. Really lovely holiday read. Find out more here

You're The One That I Want - Giovanna Fletcher
Love this book, and her debut novel Billy & Me was as equally good.
I won't write too much as I did do a previous post which you can find here
Another fab read, I finished it in about 5 hours, couldn't put it down!

Have you already read any of these? What ones do you like the look of?

Let me know!

Until next time,

A xx
