L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash

Hey everyone,
It's fair to say that I having been awaiting the arrival of the L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash (not exactly lisp friendly!) for aaaaaaages. I'm in LOVE with the YSL Glossy Stain but they aren't exactly purse friendly- but they are oh so beautiful. So, when I heard the L'Oreal would be bringing out a dupe, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for months.
I went into my local Boots store the other day and stumbled across them. But, my excitement soon frazzled out. There were only half a dozen shades and all on the more neutral. There were a couple of brighter coral shades (Juliet and Princess) but they are quite sheer so didn't give the great punch of colour that I had been expecting as the YSL are more vibrant. Maybe when I go to the NY next month, there will more of a variety. I decided to go with 'Milady' mainly because I am a big Thunderbirds fan (yeah...I know). It is on the purple side of pink, and gives off a just bitten stain on the lips and lasts for AGES! I love the smell of these too, similar to the Glossy Stains they have a really fruity berry scent which you can taste on the lips. They are non-sticky and really lovely to apply. In the swatches you will see one coat applied, two coats and then three. These are really wearable and for only £7.99 they are bargain. Packaging wise, I prefer the YSL but these definitely look more luxurious than the price tag- for some reason I always manage to undo it the wrong way round as the applicator is the bottom of the product, not the longer part. It's sounds SO much more confusing than it is!)

As you can see, after three coats the colour becomes more opaque and they are super glossy. If you aren't sure about brighter colours, these kind of products are a great way to introduce them into your makeup bag. The doe foot applicator makes sure you get the right amount of product onto your lips for precise application.
Will you be trying these out or do you prefer the original? L'Oreal own YSL aswell, so chances are you are getting an identical product. These are available from Boots for £7.99 each and are 3 for 2 at the moment (bonus!)
A x
